We recently celebrated the completion of our 1st year as an outpost. Nov 7, 2007 was our 1st meeting and we chartered in Jan 2008. Praise the LORD!!! We have a very faithful leadership team. Recently our Youth Pastor, Patrick May and Dean Tillman have began an outreach visitation to the youth of our area to encourage them to attend the ministries available in the church. This will become a major ministry for 2009. With the help of our Youth Pastor we have arranged and completed the Royal Ranger Calendar of events for Outpost 197. We have events planned for every month of 2008. We have been able to outfit our outpost with class "C" vests and shirts and are looking to upgrade to khaki class "A&B" by June 2009. Most of the funds for our outpost are generated through scrap metal recycling and donations. Please be in prayer for our outpost and church. Our goal is to reach all of the young people in our community with the gospel and get them attached to a church youth ministry. We have a very large area to cover and many, many souls in the balance.
