LOUISIANA TRAINING ACADEMY

June 27th - July 01st, 2005

Morning Assembly

Without a doubt, the Louisiana Training Academy provides the most in-depth and advanced training a boy can experience as a Royal Ranger. The vast assortment of advanced merits offered at academy is second to none in the nation. Louisiana Royal Rangers takes a backseat to NO ONE in the area of training for both boys and men. Come and experience the opportunity of a lifetime, doing things you couldn't possibly do in the course of your normal outpost activities. Have fun and achieve what you thought you could never have had a chance to do.

THE PURPOSE OF ROYAL RANGER ACADEMY:
Academy is a place of training, a school. It is conducted each year to provide boys with training in the Royal Ranger program and assist them in their advancements. As leaders, we are to serve the needs of the boys, by providing them with training in various areas of skill, knowledge and spiritual guidance.

If you are working toward your Gold Medal of Achievement, you can get a six month "jump" over attending the weekly meetings. By this, I mean it would take six months of weekly meetings to accomplish what can be done in one week at academy. Through the dedication of numerous (over 75) PRAYED-UP and READY commanders coming together in one place with one goal in mind, academy can provide just such an accomplishment.

The curriculum is designed for the total development of the boy. Below is a list of some of the advancements that were available at last year's academy.

Hiking                                Hobby                            Light for the Lost
Advanced Camping           Physical Fitness            Bible
Swimming                           Aviation                        Canoeing

Horsemanship                    Nature                           Rifle

Fire Craft                           Safety                             Space Exploration

GOD and Family, FCF and Royal Ranger Knowledge are just a few more of the activities offered at academy. The Corps offer numerous advanced merits not mentioned above such as rope craft, camping, wilderness survival, compass, rifle safety, hide tanning and backpacking just to name a few.

The academy takes dedicated leadership and precise planning. Most of all, academy takes young men and boys who want to improve their skills, meet the challenge, and "study to show themselves approved" for the Master Ranger, JESUS CHRIST.

We urge you to fulfill the calling GOD has placed on your life and welcome you to become part of this "AMAZING" training camp. If you would like to see your boys complete six months of weekly meetings in one week, then THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE.
