11 Camps...1 Academy

The Louisiana Royal Ranger Training Academy, in its thirty-fifth year, is the oldest training camp of its type in Royal Rangers. Every June, boys from across Louisiana and surrounding districts converge on the Woodworth campgrounds for a week of fun, accomplishment, adventure, and spiritual renewal. There are many merit camps in the nation, but there is only one Academy.
Academy Facts
Date: June 23 - 27 2008
Location: Woodworth Assembly of God Campgrounds, Woodworth, Louisiana
Cost: $130 for Boys, $30 for Leaders
What the Cost Includes: 3 Meals a day, Red Cross-certified swimming instruction, Camp T-Shirt, Camp headgear, at least four merit badges (varies by camp), spiritual renewal, and memories to last a lifetime.
Registration Deadline: Date for Early Registration TBA, but Applications will be accepted up to the opening of camp.
Payment Options: Checks (Payable to Louisiana Royal Rangers) or Credit Card ($5.00 processing fee applies to Credit Card Payments)

May 31 2008: The Deadline for Academy Applications is MAY 31. Get your applications in as soon as possible to prevent any delays come time for Academy. This year's speakers will be Academy Staff.  Academy information can be found on the Adventure Camp page on the side bar and registration forms can be found on the Registration Forms page.

May 1, 2008: The time for planning for this year's Academy is NOW. Dennis Ryan should be getting in touch with all leaders from last year's Academy to begin filling out rosters. If you are interested in serving as a leader at Academy, please contact David Craun or Dennis Ryan as soon as possible. The cost for leaders is $30.00 for this year, while the cost for boys is $130.00.

February 1 2008: Dennis Ryan has been chosen to coordinate Academy.
He will be setting up staffs for the camps and corps for this year's Academy.
