11 Camps...1 Academy

The Louisiana District Royal Rangers Invites all boys ages 8 - 17 to this year's Adventure Academy. This one-of-a-kind camp for boys brings excitement, exploration, friendship, and accomplishment together with spiritual growth to give your young man a week he will never forget. Preparing Leaders of these boys can also take place during this camp.

This will be the 39th year of Academy offering an unparalleled value for your camp dollar. With certified swimming instruction, quality on-site meals, trained instructors in a wide variety of interest areas, and a safe, boy-friendly campground facility, you won't be able to find another camp anywhere at this price offering such a wid variety of experiences and skills. Each age-group of boys will form a unique camp with activities no other age-group will experience. Each year of Academy offers a special adventure for boys at their distinctive developmental stage of growth. On top of that, the proven spiritual impact on several generations of young men at Academy makes this camp priceless. Many on-fire men of today owe their decision for Christ to an altar call given at an Academy. The leadership skills that the Academy develops give a life time of advantages to boys.

The cost for a week of Adventure Academy is $150.00. A $85.00 deposit with your application will reserve a space in camp. A camp shirt and hat ($25.00 value) are included in the total cost. Add an additional $7.00 to cover the cost of any credit card service fees if you choose to use your credit card. The balance must be paid by the start of camp June 27th. A limited number of Camp Scholarships are available for either full or partial payment. Cotact the district Royal Ranger office in Alexandria to apply for a scholarship if one is not available through your local church.

May 31 2011: The Deadline for Academy Applications is MAY 31. Get your applications in as soon as possible to prevent any delays come time for Academy. This year's speakers will be Academy Staff.  Academy information can be found on the Adventure Camp page on the side bar and registration forms can be found on the Registration Forms page.

May 1, 2011: The time for planning for this year's Academy is NOW. Dennis Ryan should be getting in touch with all leaders from last year's Academy to begin filling out rosters. If you are interested in serving as a leader at Academy, please contact David Craun or Dennis Ryan as soon as possible. The cost for leaders is $30.00.

Dennis Ryan has been chosen to coordinate Academy.
He will be setting up staffs for the camps and corps for this year's Academy.
