For the first time an Academy Staff School was conducted in 1983 prior to the opening of academy. Special training was offered to develop the leaders who dedicate themselves to the ministry of the Louisiana Royal Rangers. This school has expanded to three phrases (years) of training for the basic advancement camp and three phases for the corps in an academy corps leaders school conducted annually during the Labor Day weekend.

The purpose of Academy Staff School is to provide commanders with information about what will be taking place at academy. Our goal at staff school is to acquaint you with activities taking place, where they are taking place and what is expected of you. You will be provided with a "Phase I Academy Instructor" notebook chocked full of useful information. We can only provide a general overview of academy at staff school. GOD will teach you the rest during the week of academy.

The academy takes dedicated leadership and precise planning. Most of all, academy takes young men and boys who want to improve their skills, meet the challenge, and "study to show themselves approved" for the Master Ranger, JESUS CHRIST.
