The Louisiana district isssued patches to boys and leaders attending the Buck-a-Roo/Straight Arrow Field in both the North (Usually held in Jonesboro, LA) and in the South (Usually held in Crowley, LA). The practice of issuing patches was discontinued in 1991. Since 2000, several changes have been made to the format, now called Ranger Kids Field Day because of the changes to the new program: (1) The Field Day has a rotating set of 3 themes: Wild West, Circus, and Aerospace; and (2) beginning in 2003, the Field Day is held in one location now at the campgrounds in Woodworth, LA.
