Ten Candidates total came to go through the Jim Bowie Chapter November Frontier Adventure.  All Candidates passed and are now full Frontiersmen Members in the Jim Bowie Chapter of Frontiersman Camping Fellowship.  Red Fox (Rev. David Craun) was our speaker Saturday night and Spider (Rev. Randy Henry) was our Speaker Sunday morning.  Red Fox led us to the truth that without the empowering of the Holy Spirit, we cannot have the full effective ministry God wants us to have.  Several came up for infilling of the Holy Spirit.  Spider did a Great job in inspiring us to be like Nehemiah and help rebuild the fallen walls.  The weather was sunny, breezy, warm during the day, and cool to cold at night.

Lighthouse (Manson Reynolds) was in charge of running the Frontier Adventure.  We give many thanks to Lighthouse (Manson Reynolds) and BuckTraker (Bryan Boudreaux) for their untiring servicing in bandaging up all of our cuts and scrapes.  We had no major emergencies.  Candle (Joseph Reynolds) served as the Candidates’ Bourgeois and did an excellent job.  He had Young Buck helpers Wind Stone (Jeffrey West) and Brandon Olp.  Swamp Rat (Will Landry) & Frank Trueblood were in charge of all of the good eats and did a great job supervising the kitchen and their staff.  Many thanks to all of the staff who made sure we had all of the necessities to run a smooth camp.

Buckskin Testing was held Friday afternoon by T-Kuto (Lee Robinson).  There were two Buckskin candidates who now have a name and place as Buckskin members in the Jim Bowie Chapter: Young Buck Wind Stone (Jeffrey West) and Old Timer Frog Hunter (Jeff Miller).

All you Frontiersman get ready early so you can become Buckskin members next year.  Contact T-Kuto (Lee Robinson), Eagle Scout (Rodney Eaton), or Snake Hunter (Nelson Jones) for how to become Buckskin members and Get a Name!

We ran the November Frontier Adventure using the new National Guidelines that we learned at our Frontier Adventure Certification Training during the Regional Conference.  It went very well.  The NMLRA Black Powder Course was put off until Sunday morning so only members attended as the Candidates were welcomed into Frontiersman Camping Fellowship during the Council Fire Service Saturday evening.  The Candidates were tested according to the new guidelines to earn their 3 beads in order to pay for their FCF Pin.

Thanks to all who sent their Prayers for this event.  God richly Blessed each and every one of those attending.  The Council Fire Service, Words, and Prayer Saturday night were an Awesome move of God!

Courses Held:   Traps (Tenderheart); Flint & Steel fire making (Candle); Outfits (Lighthouse); Made Chokers (Everyone); Hawk Throw (Stephen Hudson); Knife Throw (Spider); Primitive Bow (BuckTraker); Primitive Shelters (Candle); held Friday night and Saturday with a Trail Walk Testing ending the training.  A NMLRA Black Powder Course was held Sunday morning by Red Dog (Lee Hernandez) and T-Kuto (Lee Robinson).

Make plans to attend the Jim Bowie Chapter Trace on January 8, 9, & 10, 2011 at Twin Lakes Camp Woodworth, La.  We will be holding elections for President, Scout, and Assistant Scout.  All you Young Bucks, if you are Buckskin, and God’s moves you, we need a new Scout and Assistant Scout as they are moving to Old timers.  Details and packets will be posted soon for the Trace.

Respectively Submitted,
